The value for my money at this hostel was incredible, and the room was so comfortable with a curtain for privacy. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, and the staff treated me like family.
Breakfast delights could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

Peaceful ambience, welcoming kitchen/living room area, attentive and friendly staff, great location near the beach, well-equipped kitchen.
Nothing at all.

The location was fantastic, just a stone's throw away from the main square and with the beach and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Plus, our room had a balcony where we could catch a glimpse of the sea. It was such a treat to wake up to that view every morning.
The shared bathroom situation was a bit inconvenient. It was located right in the kitchen, and since there was no sink inside, it made brushing our teeth or freshening up a bit uncomfortable, especially when there were other people in the kitchen.

The hostel's location is ideal, just steps away from the beach and close to a variety of restaurants. Guests can enjoy the view from the rooftop terrace, which also features a plunge pool. the rooms are well-appointed, with curtains for privacy and electrical outlets in each bunk bed.
Some guests felt that the kitchen and communal areas were not spacious enough, making it difficult to use during peak times.

I recently stayed at Hostal Cuca Macuca for a few days while on vacation. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the friendly receptionist Valeria. The location of the hostel is perfect, just steps away from the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals. The cleanliness of the hostel was outstanding, and Valeria ensured that all our needs were met. The beds were comfortable, with curtains and electrical outlets in each bunk. The rooftop terrace and pool offered a great view, and the hostel had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The wifi worked flawlessly, and overall, I highly recommend Hostal Cuca Macuca as one of the best hostels I've stayed at worldwide.
I would recommend this hostel.

I got great value for my money at this hostel. The room had nice bunk beds with curtains and lock boxes, giving me a sense of privacy. The location was perfect, right downtown with a 5-minute walk from the ferry port. The staff was friendly and organized a fantastic snorkeling tour for us. And the rooftop terrace with a pool and evening yoga was amazing, especially watching the sunset over the ocean. a lovely vibe and great views.
The breakfast option could use some improvement.

Stayed at Hostal Cuca Macuca and loved it! The location was great with the beach and restaurants nearby. The bunk beds were comfortable and I liked that they had curtains and lock boxes for privacy. The people staying there were friendly and I had a great time meeting new people. I also appreciated the designated space to hang my wet beach clothes. I highly recommend this hostel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
One minor drawback was that the tarp on the roof made a loud noise at night when it was windy. However, it didn't greatly affect my overall experience.

My stay at the hostel was great! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful escape when the common areas got crowded. The dorm beds had blinds and personal lights, giving a sense of privacy. I also loved that each person had a crate in the kitchen for their food. I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The hostel is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator. However, the staff was kind enough to help me with my suitcase.

Very comfortable and a great place to meet new people. They have a place to hang wet beach clothes and each person gets a crate in the kitchen to store their food. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The facility is lovely with nice murals in the common area. It's close to the square and has hot water. The hostel is ideal for solo travelers, couples, or groups of friends looking for a peaceful atmosphere. The beds are comfortable and there is a curtain for privacy. The common area feels like a living room and the staff is helpful and always available.
Felt totally relaxed, no complaints.

We had such a great time at this hostel. the check-in process was smooth and Valeria, the receptionist, was amazing. the location is just steps away from the beach, making it incredibly convenient. the kitchen is well-equipped and the hostel is very clean. Valeria made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. the beds with curtains and electrical outlets in each bunk were a nice touch. the rooftop view and little pool were also fantastic. It's a quiet hostel, not a party place, and they don't allow drinking inside. But despite that, it was still one of the best hostels we've ever stayed at anywhere in the world. the wifi worked great and it was a comfortable and welcoming place to meet new people. We appreciated the provision of a drying area for our wet beach clothes. Each person also had their own crate in the kitchen to store their food, which was convenient. Sol, the owner, was very nice and accommodating. She even picked us up from the airport. the location is very central, just 100 meters from the beach. it was a friendly and welcoming place. Cons: Nothing. It is perfect! 😊.

As women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable at this local-owned boutique hostel. The peaceful ambiance and capacity for no more than 20 guests made it an ideal choice for solo female travelers. The beds were comfy with curtains for privacy, and each bunk bed had a small safe to store valuables. The hostel had excellent WiFi, a welcoming kitchen/living room area, and a lovely common area with murals on the walls. The staff was friendly and helpful, making an effort to chat and answer any questions. There were also eco-friendly initiatives, such as composting and recycling bins, which we appreciated. it was one of the nicest hostels we've stayed in during our travels.
We felt very much at home and had no reason to complain.

Friendly and helpful staff who were always available to assist. Convenient location, with shops and restaurants nearby. - Well-equipped kitchen and common areas for socializing.
Uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, with bunk beds lacking individual reading lights. Shared bathroom located in the kitchen, making it inconvenient and lack of privacy.
